CLARIFICATIONS FROM THE MEETING:
Councilmember Lozzi stated:
Video: “… I think it's disingenuous to tell the public, oh my goodness, there's $100 million worth of projects out there when we haven't really vetted that.”
Video: “…, Oh, this isn't a plan. This is a laundry list. So you take it from laundry list to plan once you've decided to fund it, right, then it's in a plan. But or you plan to fund it. But anyway, it just seems like we need to, if we could hone in, you know, hone in. I'm sure you have that in your head. I'm sure that's the normal process. But, you know, hone in on some numbers are total guess, and some numbers, we kind of have numbers, so let's take what we have and put that next to each other, and then push out the ones where we're making a guess.”
Video: “..And then there's this future, you know, future five years, with just this enormous number that feels a little like it's coming from the hip. …I feel like we can put our hands on those numbers a little bit better and and then really see with a little more clarity and a little more you know, because there's some, you know, there's on a list, there's some project some of these projects are never going to be done.”
Video: “…Again, including this into the list doesn't mean that they got to get funded. ”
Oskar, the Public Works Director stated:
Video: “A CIP basically, is a comprehensive list of, almost as a backlog of things that a city needs to do, and that's why we brought some of those old projects… That doesn't necessarily mean that they have to be funded.”
